Erika DiGirolamo
As an art educator, I believe it is important to nurture my personal creativity, in order to encourage my students to reach their potential. I try to make time for art as my personal self-care.
Sketch journaling is a form of art I have found especially therapeutic and easy to practice daily. I enjoy capturing everyday moments, reflecting, and documenting life.
Recently, I have returned to pursuing my interest in mixed media: collage, gouache, colored pencil, pen, and watercolor. I particularly enjoy building textures through layers and vibrant colors. I am an animal lover and often find my subjects relate to that passion.
