Heart of Gold

All of the items used to create this art work were found in the trash at a retirement community. The items are often what’s left of a persons life, a hard task to manage overwhelmed with grief people toss it all away as if it might reduce the pain of loss.

This work is a statement pondering the time we have left and what’s important. There’s always a choice to share kindness or help those in need. We often don’t know what someone is going through.

Every relationship begins with the one you have with yourself. The muted color palette and soft layering of lace on metal substrate suggests that we look within and choose to be loving whenever possible.
